Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2016-17 school year! We are pleased to have all of you joining us for what promises to be a very exciting and eventful year. There are great things happening at ASE!

ASE is the place where you can make your dreams come true. Through our partnership with West Los Angeles College and our dynamic College Counselor, Mrs. Diane Hale, ASE supports students to attain college admission and career readiness! We offer personalized, individual learning plans for students and their families to ensure that ASE students succeed!

We have refined our Career Technical Education Program. We are proud to announce our new Building and Construction Trades Pathway and Engineering and Architecture Pathway. ASE students will be able to earn National Certifications in these pathway courses that will allow them to graduate and immediately enter the work force while they continue their education by attending a college or university of their choice.

In the 2017-18 School Year, ASE will add a Health Science and Medical Technology Pathway.

This year, with the sponsorship of California Pizza Kitchen and Los Angeles Police Department - Southwest Division, ASE students are participating in a Public Service Leadership Academy that includes seminars at City Hall.

To complement our Advanced Placement Course offerings, we continue to expand our Bridge to College Course offerings with the addition of Psychology and Computer Science classes taught by WLA professors. ASE is the place to earn college credit while attending High School.

Again, this summer our students attended elite summer programs at top colleges and universities including UCLA, UCSD, USC, CAL Poly Pomona, Cal St. San Luis Obispo, WLA, and LATTC.

Our sports program continues to grow and thrive. ASE encourages and fully supports scholar athletes.

We look forward to a great year!
