ASE ATOMS Showed Up and Showed Out!

While attending the 2014 Toyota VIP STEM Symposium, ASE students competed in one category - STEMracers. The STEMracers competition is the building of a rubber-band powered car.  This project is a Signature project at ASE and one that ASE students are very familiar with.

Understanding the finer points of designing a car that would travel a long distance, students felt very confident they could build a competitive STEMRacer.  In teams of 5, ASE students designed and built their cars.

Team  ASE entered one car per round. There were five rounds. Team ASE STEMracer cars won three of the five competition rounds!

Winning teams were awarded a die-cast Scion miniature car.

Job well done!
