ASE Atoms Help to Restore Local Los Angeles Park

This event is an ongoing project to restore one of the two last great open spaces surrounded by urban LA. Students were involved in pulling tumbleweed, which will aid in future work to plant native Coastal Sage Scrub, which has been reduced to only a fraction of its original distribution. Students also explored the visitor center and were exposed to the native animal species that inhabit the area through an interactive exhibit. The event ended in a short hike through this coastal sage scrub area.

Job well done!!!
